Background:

Rajoo Ravindran has a wealth of experience, having dedicated over four decades to law enforcement and legal practice. His career began in 1978 when he joined the Singapore Police Force, steadily rising through the ranks to retire as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP (2)) in February 2020. During his 42 years of service, Ravindran honed his investigative acumen and intelligence-gathering capabilities, which now serve as the foundation of his legal practice.

Ravindran's passion for law was ignited during his tenure in the investigation unit, where he worked closely with complainants, witnesses, suspects, and accused persons. His keen interest in the legal field was further fuelled through his intellectual exchanges with criminal lawyer, Mr. B J Lean, inspiring him to pursue formal legal studies.

Balancing his demanding career with academic aspirations, Ravindran enrolled in an external law programme at the University of London, successfully obtaining his Law Degree in 2006.

Ravindran seized the opportunity to further his legal education when Singapore’s third law school, the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), was established in 2017. As part of the inaugural cohort, he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2020 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar on 23 August 2022.

In October 2022, Ravindran joined M/s Kertar & Sandhu LLC as an associate, specialising in Criminal and Family Law, while also handling probate and civil law matters. His deep understanding of criminal investigations, coupled with his extensive field experience, positioned him as a formidable advocate in legal proceedings.

On 1 April 2025, Ravindran transitioned to M/s Anitha & Asoka LLC to further his legal practice. His unique background as a former law enforcement officer-turned-legal practitioner provides clients with a strategic advantage, particularly in criminal defence and family law matters. Ravindran is committed to delivering insightful, pragmatic, and effective legal solutions, ensuring justice for his clients with the same dedication and integrity that defined his career in law enforcement.
